I would like to make known the Portuguese legend about this queen who was very kind and generous.
To her is associated the Miracle of the Roses:

Myth of the Miracle of Roses
According to legend, the Queen left on a winter morning from the Castle of Sabugal, to distribute bread to the most disadvantaged. Surprised by her husband who asks her where she is going and what she carries in her lap, to which the Queen promptly responds are roses, D. Dinis suspiciously asks roses in January ?! D. Isabel exposes the contents of her lap and instead of bread appears indeed roses.
